“Following my cancer diagnosis, I was in a new world; the past, when I had assumed good health, was gone. Projections from my research and medical support indicated a serious diagnosis. I had to deal with the negative outcome projections in my own mind.

I needed a point of reference that was totally positive, a space without negative intrusions associated with the crisis of my cancer diagnosis. I focused on deep rest and releasing stress. When I would enter a truly relaxed state after my surgery and during the months of my chemotherapy, I began to see a recurring vision in my mind’s eye, which I verbally couldn’t explain. Eventually, I interpreted this imagery as cancer cells leaving my body. This imagery along with deep relaxation therapy is the basis for Visions for Cancer Recovery.*

With one foot in the world of conventional Western medicine and one foot in complementary medicine, I put into practice what I had learned studying alternative medicine and observing indigenous and non-conventional healers.

Gratefully, I felt deep connections to nature and the human spirit. The length of my survival became less important than the quality of this beautiful life, living as fully in the moment as I can."

Mary Hallman was diagnosed with an advanced stage fallopian tube cancer in 1995. She used a combination of Integrative Medicine and conventional methods to restore her health. The use of imagery from the most essential level, the cell, gave her a vision for recovery and healing.
